Η μελέτη αφορά στην ανακαίνιση του ορόφου με τις σοφίτες, επιφανείας 400τμ, στο κεντρικό κτήριο του ξενοδοχείου Ekies Resort. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τη ξεχωριστή φυσιογνωμία της κάθε ομάδας δωματίων, τα Lofts του ξενοδοχείου αποτελούν ένα από τα χαρακτηριστικότερα στοιχεία του.
Κυριότερο αρχιτεκτονικό στοιχείο αποτελεί η στέγη με τους στιβαρούς κορμούς καστανιάς που δεσπόζουν μέσα στα δωμάτια, σε συνδυασμό με τις θέες προς τη θάλασσα και τους κήπους του ξενοδοχείου. Με σκοπό τη διατήρηση αυτών των χαρακτηριστικών, η μελέτη προσανατολίστηκε στην ανάδειξη των στοιχείων που προσδίδουν αρχιτεκτονική ποιότητα στους χώρους μέσω στοχευμένων επεμβάσεων.
Τα δάπεδα είναι ξύλινα σε συνέχεια με την υλικότητα της στέγης και βάφονται σε ένα ενιαίο χρωματικό τόνο ώστε να τονίζεται η εμπειρία που προσφέρει η αίσθηση της σοφίτας στο χρήστη. Στα χαμηλά σημεία κατασκευάζονται μεγάλοι οντάδες ενώ ο ατμοσφαιρικός φωτισμός αναδεικνύει τις φυσικές βαφές και την ογκοπλασία. Ξυλουργικές custom made κατασκευές συνδυάζονται με φωτιστικά και επιλεγμένο design εξοπλισμό, ενώ λινά υφάσματα ντύνουν τους οντάδες και τα βεστιάρια. Στις βεράντες ενιαίες ζαρντινιέρες στην απόχρωση της σκουριάς καδράρουν τη θέα φέρνοντας τη φύση μέσα στα δωμάτια.
The study is about the renovation of a 400sq.m floor in the main building of Ekies Resort. The specific group of rooms, the Lofts with their attic atmosphere, are a signature piece of Ekies identity.
The most characteristic element is the roof made of chestnut trunks, a prominent feature in the rooms together with the stunning views towards the sea and the gardens. The study was oriented in accenting these elements that provide an architectural quality in the spaces through specific interventions.
The floors are wooden following the roof’s materiality, colored both in a whitish tone so as to enhance this “loft” atmosphere. At low height areas large sofa beds are created while the natural coating is accented by ambient lighting. Custom made furniture is combined with design accessories and lounge chairs, while linen textiles are used for the sofas and the curtains. Linear metal flower boxes are constructed at the edge of the balconies so as to define the horizon and the view, bringing nature inside.
